Project Scope:

Line removal of existing road markings in the Victoria Park Tunnel, Auckland, to allow for new lines to be put down. This project required large-scale overnight traffic switches that would allow for huge volumes of work to be completed overnight with traffic being redirected as the tunnel progressed.

Process:

Surfprep removed the current road markings, removing in excess of 2km of line markings and RPM’s (raised pavement markers) over four lanes of existing road markings, to make way for new road markings.

Equipment Used:

  • 3.8 tonne Mustang 2086 Skid-steer loader
  • Shibeci PP4500 Skid-steer Mounted Power Grinder
  • Schibeci PP2500 Skid-steer Mounted Power Profiler
  • Vacuum loading sweeper truck for rapid clean up

Outcome:

SurfPrep’s experienced team were able to deliver the fastest form of removal, working with speed and efficiency allowing for the tunnel project to continue.
